Booking a Safari

Once you select your safari, the safari contract will be finalized and signed, and a deposit of $1500 or as required will be necessary to secure your booking.

• Booking Airfare: After agreeing on your safari dates and duration, book your airfare. We recommend direct flights to Frankfurt International Airport in Germany, connecting flight to Windhoek Hosea Kutako international Namibia. We will assist you throughout this process to ensure you have the correct number of days.
• Travel Requirements: EU/US citizens need a valid passport with two clean pages to travel to Namibia. Non-US/EU citizens may require a visa.
• Importation of Hunting Rifles: A temporary import permit from the Namibian Police Service is required. Your Professional Hunter (PH) will meet you upon arrival and assist you with the permit process. We will mail you an import license form upfront to fill in.
• Arrival at the Airport: We will personally meet you at the airport and assist you in collecting your rifle. You will then be transferred to the hunting camp and shoot in rifles before hunt starts.
• Your Trophies: Field preparation and care of trophies are top priorities. Trophies may undergo a Dip & Pack process for shipping raw or can be mounted in Namibia before shipping.

Namibia’s Information

• Health Precautions: No vaccinations are required for Namibia. Our hunting areas are malaria-free. Malaria medication is needed if traveling to malaria-prone areas such as Caprivi in Northen Namibia.
• Hunting Areas: Most standard hunting packages take place in Namibia, providing a varied experience of the country’s diverse wildlife and landscapes.
• Weather and Temperatures: Namibia’s seasons are reversed from the northern hemisphere. Early mornings are cool, warming up by mid-day, and cooling down again in the late afternoon. Packing in layers is advisable.
• What to Pack: Daily laundry service means three sets of hunting clothes are sufficient. Dress in layers to accommodate varying temperatures throughout the day.

Payment

• Payment After the Safari: The balance can be paid in cash, credit card (service fee applicable), or wire transfer directly after the hunt.
• Gifts and souvenirs can be purchased locally.
• Namibia’s currency is the Namibian Dollar (N$). Most stores outside the airport do not accept foreign currency.
• Credit cards accepted are typically Mastercard and Visa, not AMEX or Discover.
• We will assist you in exchanging currency at the airport.
• Tipping: Tipping is discretionary. Staff are aware that tips are bonuses. Below are some guidelines:
  Tips can be in US Dollars or Namibian currency (N$).
  For a 7–10-day safari valued at $6000-$7000, an average tip for the Professional Hunter is $700-$1000.
  For big game hunts, tips are generally higher.
  We recommend $30 per animal for the skinner/tracker, averaging $300-400
